Statement

I am a Canadian born fellow, now living and working in Australia. My work time is divided between my responsibilities as a professor of biology specializing in the behaviour of birds, and the creation of travel and nature books for a general audience. I am a lifelong devotee of self-propelled locomotion, including walking, running, cycling, and paddling. In April and May of 2015 I will be joining my Canadian friend, Dr. Krista Halling, to paddle the length of the River Thames and around the coast of Kent. This adventure will include a walking adventure in London. Movement as Art.
