Walking is central to my everyday life and essential for finding inspiration and achieving perspective, for adventures with friends and solitary meditation.
I facilitate walking journeys in the Scottish hills for small groups of writers and artists. These are collaborative ventures, undertaken at a slow pace to enable engagement with the landscape at different scales and to share different perspectives, through conversations and creative exercises; gaining insight and inspiration from each other as we travel. I encourage slowing down and offer tips on developing attentiveness, so that walking can become an attentional practice and an embodied experience.
