Statement

Walking as a means of producing and consuming landscape/place/environment is something that has always interested me. I believe walking is the movement at which we come in the most contact with our surroundings, and as a research associate at Uni Freiburg, I try to understand this better. How do we perceive and understand the spaces around us? What are the role of structures, symbols, pathways, art & graffiti, nature, habits and traditions in our relationship with the spaces around us? How is power produced and reproduced in this context? How can it be challenged?
