Statement

I am fascinated by human movement and in particular with the role of walking in the human story. I have been practising osteopathy for 25 years and my training and experience have given my interest an anatomical dimension but my love and practice of walking preceded this. I am active in a local urbanism organisation [Merhav] promoting city walking. I have also lead walks in the Jane’s Walk initiative in which I provide my version of Jane Jacob’s concept of the ‘Sidewalk Ballet’. I have developed a concept called ‘livingamovinglife’, soon to appear as a blog and have written on the history of walking from an evolutionary and historical perspective.
