My work as an artist is built upon my intimate experience of a place, both by relating myself to it, and by looking for its vital elements, actors and its center, its navels. While working in a specific city or territory, exploring its landscape, I search for these focal landmarks that give voice to their elemental stories, past or present and that can dialogue with its future.
My working method is to perceive and to register layers of time, history and space as my body relates to these spaces. To create this intimate relationship with the land, I work with elementary tools like walking, drawing and collecting objects, as well as researching local history, photos and materials. When presenting my artwork to the public I generally combine this elements in different forms of installation, leaving some open space and silenc for them to complement and create their own narrative and experience of that place.
