Statement

Walking and 'slow' time outdoors are at the heart of our practice at somewhere-nowhere: photography, writing and installations in rural spaces. We may walk repeatedly to the same location (recently to the same seven trees as part of The Long View), walk for many days between specific places, or walk with ecologists, farmers, environmental thinkers and other artists. Our work reflects our experiences and enters into debate about the shared ownership of land, the sustainable use of resources and human relationships to place.
