I am a theatre maker and writer based in Manchester. My work is interested in investigating place to unearth the human histories that reside there. Performance practice is rooted in the approaches of walking, writing and archaeology . Through out her work she continues to explore female histories, through intimate installations, one to one performances. Her current work 'A Pilgrimage for Sylvia' is a trilogy of performances which follow her pursuit of the remaining traces of poet Sylvia Plath's presence. The trilogy comprises an intimate one to one performance, a lecture performance, and an archival installation,. A Pilgrimage for Sylvia is an ongoing research project which is examining what it means to make a pilgrimage exploring its qualities as a spiritual and physical act.
