Statement

wandering, collecting, making, reflecting, questioning, re-framing, seeking to unearth narratives and re-positioning them... I work fluidly across creative disciplines including painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, textiles, sculpture, assemblage and digital photography. My work often leans towards abstraction and is underpinned by an abiding interest in observational drawing and gestural mark-making. While my inspiration comes from all quarters, I regularly reference the shapes, colours, textures and forms that populate the spaces I move through, in particular the coast and moorland near my studio.
