Statement

I am a visual artist, feminist art historian, professor, mother of three, and lifelong walker. My current research is a series of theoretical and artistic inquiries on listening as artistic method in contemporary art. I am a firm believer in the relational power of walking, the potential for this slow movement to facilitate kinship with human and more-than-human relations. During early 2022, I conducted 100 days of “Winter Walking” in amiskwaciwaskahaikan / Edmonton, Alberta as a way of listening as a guest in this place.
