I incorporate walking into my work by both utilizing "the walk" as a reflective, creative practice and through the use of materials sourced from these walks in finished textile pieces. I strive to inflect a feeling of slowness, repetition and mindful presence. These moods are especially poignant given the increasing pressure to move quickly in our technologically-driven world, and in the modern city-scape.
